Here's the thing I've been working on for a while. It's a weird composition/size because it was done for a friend's phone case design contest.

It's Zer0, the assassin from Borderlands 2.

I've been working on this off and on for a little over a month now, I think. I was distracted by a lot of things (like Borderlands. And Halloween. hee)

I also tried to do a bunch of ~new things~ though, which might have contributed to the absurd amount of time spent on it. That, and the fact that the original file was done in a much higher resolution (1752x2839 to be precise.) I'm still not used to working so big.

Anyway, the colour scheme for this was inspired by the Caustic Caverns level (See: [link] .) You could probably figure that out pretty easily if you've played the game though, ha. I kind of have a love/hate thing going on with that place. On one hand, the varkids and spiderants annoy me; on the other hand, I find the place very aesthetically and conceptually interesting.

The title is from one of his Decepti0n haikus.

Very badass!!! :D and I completely agree with you about Caustic Caverns. The place is so crazy and yet incredible visually. It'd be great to do some piece on.

:D LOlz! sounds like me. I'm always thinking of doing several pieces, of certain places. Vault of the warrior for instance... I've done one, but thinking of doing many more. Also thinking of doing a Caustic cavern too, if I get a chance... we'll see... :XD:

The weird thing about Zer0 is that no one's sure exactly what he is. "Robot" is a common theory though, along with "alien" and also "alien robot". :lol: The thing that seems to puzzle people the most is that he only has four fingers on each hand, which looks to be his natural anatomy and not like he'd chopped the other ones off.

The game itself teases players about this too, because Zer0's enigmatic nature is mentioned, but it's also never cleared up.

Thank you; it's good to see that people like the colours here (even though I cheated a little), considering what a risky combo it is. Red and green is easy to screw up.
